Wilfried Rappenecker led the Shiatsu School Hamburg for 30 years since its founding in 1987. As a general practitioner, he primarily works with Shiatsu. He is a co-founder of the German Shiatsu Society (GSD) and served as the director of the ISS Kiental until 2016. He is also the author, co-author, or editor of a total of 7 specialist books on Shiatsu, including Yu Sen – Shiatsu for Beginners and Five Elements and Twelve Meridians (both published by Felicitas Hübner Verlag), as well as, with Meike Kockrick, Atlas Shiatsu, and with other authors, Cases from Therapeutic Shiatsu Practice (both published by Urban-Fischer Verlag). He has also authored numerous articles on the topic of Shiatsu.

Meike Kockrick is a certified alternative practitioner who has been learning and teaching Shiatsu since the late 1980s. Her work is enriched by a three-year advanced training in trauma therapy. Together with Wilfried Rappenecker, she co-authored the Atlas Shiatsu – The Meridians of Zen Shiatsu, published by Urban-Fischer Verlag. As an instructor, she has developed several of her own seminars, which she teaches in addition to the training courses at our school.

Charlotte Engel is a physiotherapist, certified alternative practitioner, and graduate of the Shiatsu School Hamburg. Her work is shaped by many years of assisting Wilfried Rappenecker, additional training in manual therapy and osteopathy, and experience in Aikido. In addition to teaching established seminars within the core training program, she also instructs anatomy and physiology courses and practical training days at our school.

Jürgen Westhoff is a graduate of the Shiatsu School Hamburg and a certified alternative practitioner. In addition, he has completed further training in craniosacral therapy and has several years of meditation experience. Since 2016, he has been the director of the Shiatsu school at Kientaler Hof in Switzerland. Through his extensive experience, including in osteopathy, he has developed his own seminars, which he teaches alongside the training seminars at the Shiatsu School Hamburg. Jürgen Westhoff also offers remote treatments.

Birte Ernestus-Holtkamp is a certified alternative practitioner and a graduate of the Shiatsu School Hamburg. Through several years of assisting at the Shiatsu School and with Wilfried Rappenecker, she has developed her understanding of Shiatsu as a therapeutic form, which continues to evolve. Since July 1, 2017, she has been the director of the Shiatsu School Hamburg.

Melanie Werber is a graduate of the Shiatsu School Hamburg and a certified alternative practitioner in psychotherapy. She has deepened her Shiatsu experience through several years of assisting and will now be joining the teaching team. In her practice, she treats with Shiatsu, Dorn-Breuss therapy, and jaw joint treatments. Trainings as a Liebscher & Bracht pain specialist and in trauma therapy further expand her understanding of the body, mind, and soul.

Anna Toni Weiße graduated as a Shiatsu therapist from the Shiatsu School Hamburg in 2015 and is a certified alternative practitioner. She deepened her Shiatsu experience through several years of assisting in the training at our school.

Dana Miesner graduated from the Shiatsu School in 2009 and is a candidate for certification as an alternative practitioner in psychotherapy. In addition to her Shiatsu practice, she works as a dental technician. Through many years of assisting in all courses of the Shiatsu training program, she deepened her knowledge and passion for teaching.
